INTRODUCTION

Revitalising old heritage is essential as the buildings have great historical and cultural values of the past. Located within Jalan Sin Chew Kee and Jalan Galloway, the row of old colonial shophouses appear to be quiet and some still occupied. The site shows that the whole neighborhood is currently undergoing changes in its physical landscape as evidenced by development of new high-rise commercial buildings and apartments. This projects seeks to bring life into the both Jalan Sin Chew Kee and Jalan Galloway.

  
Use the existing building or abandoned or left-used building as your site. Reconfiguration and reoccupation of the old spaces will regenerate the area. You are encouraged to develop solutions for the site using a range of sustainable and viable means and your proposal shall reflect the urban modern context. You are asked to consider accessibility, sustainability and inclusivity in your project proposal. You are to devise project ideas based on your research and understanding of the context of the existing building and site.
